We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Cloud Platform Engineer.

In this role you will:

•Develop and maintain cloud platform for our service in pursuit of the overall technology modernization & transformation goals.
•Demonstrate an innovative approach to engineering & systems practices, contributing towards overall cloud infra build within BBUK.
•Act as developer advocate & partner, to both represent developer's needs and also assist developers in adoption of cloud & emerging technologies
•Act as the platform authority with IT and Business stakeholders to ensure compliance with technical principles, design governance and delivery practice ways of working.
•Coach and mentor colleagues as part of a reciprocal relationship that ensures the entire team maintain a cutting-edge skillset..    


To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•Hands on experience designing & deploying global, highly scalable cloud-based solutions (ideally on GCP)
•Experience of designing & implementing complex application & infrastructure solutions.
•Comfortable working cross-functionally & across geographies
•Experience delivering ‘X-as-code’ based solutions & applying devops principles
•Expertise in Kubernetes & its ecosystem and developer & scripting skillset/experience (BASH, terraform & packer).


This role is based in Sheffield.
