We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Automation Infrastructure Lead.

 

The Infrastructure Lead role is based within HSBC's Cybersecurity Technology and Engineering team, the role is to provide Infrastructure build and support lead for the Automation and Integration team and where required provide support to additional security domain teams particularly in Data / Crypto and Network security. This will be within a small team of cross disciplined engineers responsible for Automation and Integration user case delivery, focussing on product integration, data and user interaction.  The roles requires knowledge/understanding across Data, Network and Endpoint security domains.

In this role you will:

 

 

  • Manage stakeholder involvement, including management team, product SMEs and project managers/steering committees
  • Support the team to scope and prioritise delivery enabling resourcing, dependencies and communications
  • Provide effective backlog management using appropriate planning tooling/processes
  • Oversee technical development of team and team members where required
  • Provide platform lead for all infrastructure requirements, working with other senior stakeholders
  • Enable discipline and improvements in areas of expertise, such as disciplined agile software delivery, production support processes and continuous DevOps pipelines development 
  • Manage, monitor, and report progress, issues, dependencies and risks, including adherence to standard controls
  • Ensure that all Technology practices and associated tools are being adopted and adhered to within the project 
  • Support IT Service Management Tasks
  • Provide leadership in initiating and fostering innovation
  • Perform hands on technical tasks

 

 

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

  • Demonstrate experience of running administration of Windows, Linux and container based solutions with experience of Kubernetes, K3S, Docker
  • Automation scripting, Python, bash, PowerShell, Ansible experience
  • Experience of using/consuming APIs particularly for Infrastructure Automation/Provisioning and Patching - Knowledge of HSBC IT Service Portal a bonus
  • Knowledge/understanding of data, networks, Endpoint security domains
  • Relevant knowledge of Software architecture, design, development, and delivery
  • Demonstratable understanding of infrastructure requirements for engineering domain relating to front and back end programming skills, database design, solutions architecture, infrastructure delivery
