Our GCOO organisation is critical for HSBC. This team partners closely with business teams to drive simplification and deliver exceptional customer outcomes in Asia and the Middle East region which covers 26 markets, 600+ offices and branches, and more than 140,000 employees. By strengthening our control environment and enhancing risk management, we drive operational excellence and enable the bank to deliver focused and sustainable growth in this super-region.

 

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Manage set-up of control parameters in the bank’s core systems, maintain in-scope standing data tables to support business requirements, and respond to user problems relating to core banking system control parameters
  • Implement data quality requirements to ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the data handled, including MI generation, data extraction, and regulatory reporting.
  • Assist in establishing robust processes and ensure that these processes operate efficiently and effectively within agreed SLA.
  • Proactively be engaged in core banking system project, contribute to implement the changes, and ensure smooth migration from HUB to new systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring the responses are accurate, meaningful and contain relevant and constructive information;
  • Ensure full compliance with HSBC policies and regulatory requirements. Continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business under the control of the job and take full remediation actions on internal/external findings timely. 

 

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor‘s degree or above
  • At least 5 years’ experience with the bank and excellent bank system knowledge 
  • Ability to self-direct and self-motivate in an ever-changing environment, and customer-centric service mindset.
  • Experience in system projects and ability to catch up with new systems within a short period of time
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven team player
  • Good spoken and written English
