Global Procurement drives strategic and commercial value for the bank by working with colleagues and suppliers to source goods and services. It is also responsible for operating, managing and transforming source-to-pay processes and systems, whilst embedding HSBC’s sustainability strategy into its supply chain. Procurement works closely with other parts of HSBC to provide leadership of the bank’s third-party and supplier relationships.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
In this role, you will:
- Support in driving the right business value and outcomes during the execution of projects for the local businesses.
- Develop and review robust, forward-looking category and supply base strategy plans based on business and product needs, supply market dynamics, and technological changes in marketplace.
- Manage risk associated with the categories taking account of changing market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating practices, restructuring and the impact of new technology.
- Foster and build relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.
- Act as an agent of change for Procurement initiatives.
- Drive embedding of best practices and compliance to E2E Source to Pay processes.
- Achieve or exceed agreed savings against annual target.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement as a buyer, sourcing manager, category or commodity manager or equivalent managing sizeable spend at preferably global multinational company
- Understanding of standard procurement processes, supply base optimization and risk management, and category or commodity strategy development.
- Good negotiation skills and experience in applying different negotiation strategies in sourcing projects.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply to the daily tasks
- High integrity and good communication skills
- Good people skills and team player. Good stakeholder management. People management experience preferred
