Regulatory Reporting and Data Governance Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
This Role is responsible for managing HSBC's appetite to comply with risk, business and regulatory priorities, and seeking to strengthen the risk culture within the organization, through the creation and implementation of policies that set the global standard. Areas of coverage include, but are not limited to: To support, coordinate and oversight the delivery of regulatory data reporting requirement; To identify, develop and coordinate the implementation of standards, policies and procedures of regulatory data reporting; To be responsible for data governance, data protection, data management;To support for regulatory reporting and data related risk management and controls;To identify, coordinate and support data analytics on regulatory data;To follow up and implement the data related requirements from group and regulators.
Impact on the Business/Function
- To manage, implement and maintain the regulatory data reporting, data governance, data protection, data management for fund sales and insurance brokerage businesses.
- To monitor the completion of daily tasks within SLA.
- To monitor the daily, monthly, quarterly, ad hoc report to be completed timely and accurately.
- To manage the policy framework for regulatory and data related activities.
- To manage and implement the data related controls.
- To identify, coordinate and support data analytics on regulatory data.
Customers / Stakeholders
- Foster strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach, to execute change at pace and with minimum conflict
- Maintain the robustness of business processes and leverage on partnership to ensure service availability and accessibility by customers.
- Interact with business partners, suppliers etc. to identify and communicate, progress, dependencies, risks and issues
Leadership & Teamwork
- Strong leadership in team and promoting a high performance culture through work relationship
- Collaborate with other teams to overcome difficulties and achieve the target.
- Understand and align actions with the Group strategies and company objectives.

Operational Effectiveness & Control:
- Ensure effective company management processes and propose improvements/changes as required
- Observe Group Compliance Policy to ensure operational risks are adequately identified, assessed, mitigated and controlled during the course of implementation
- Comply with external regulatory requirements, internal control standards and group compliance policy
- Implement timely recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- University graduate or above preferably major in finance or computer science
- 5 years or more of regulatory reporting, data governance or related experience, with 2 years or above at managerial level is a plus.
- Organized and analytical thinking, strong verbal and communication skills, commercial and strategic thinking and highly initiative
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
