We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

1. Investment Process for China Onshore Business

• Be responsible for developing successful onshore investment strategies and thematic ideas across all asset classes for China onshore clients of Private Bank & Premier Wealth.
• Being a voting member of the Global Investment Committee, contribute to the global monthly investment process to formulate value-adding portfolio strategies and commercially viable High Conviction Themes.
• Being a member of Asia Regional Investment Committee and Global Investment Committee, contribute to the development of successful High Conviction Themes, product fulfillment strategies and tactical investment ideas to implement HSBC CIO house views for onshore clients of PB and Premier Wealth.
• Drive the implementation of CIO-led end-to-end process through China Investment Committee and conduct Frontline training on China SAA/TAA, Core-Satellite framework and Portfolio Based Approach of portfolio construction and investment advisory services.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of the Sustainable Investment Strategy and implementation of Sustainability related themes and ESG investment initiatives. 
• Drive cross-asset collaboration with WPS Product Teams in steering onshore product fulfillment planning and tactical product ideas generation in support of delivery of investment revenue growth target.
• Work closely HSBC’s fund house partners and capital markets vendors to develop best-in-class onshore product solutions to implement CIO house views and High Conviction Themes in Mainland China.

2. Content Creation and Distribution

• In charge of onshore investment content creation by leveraging Global and Asia CIO content and Global Investment Research capabilities to develop value adding market analysis and investment narratives to meet China onshore client needs and support delivery of investment revenue growth target.
• Contribution of China A-share and onshore credit market content to Asia CIO publications of Daily/Weekly/Monthly Investment Insights, global publications of Quarterly Investment Outlook, Market Update and High Conviction Themes reports.
• Develop client friendly and professional onshore CIO materials and business enabling investment narratives to enhance client experience, market High Conviction Themes and boost effectiveness of the sales process.
• Delivery of Chinese marketing materials and provide Frontline training on asset allocation and Portfolio Based Approach to enable the holistic end-to-end client services in China onshore.
• Work closely with the Global,  Asia and China Digital Project Teams to develop fit-for-purpose Digital Content Management Platform on WeChat and other approved digital interface to enhance client experience, improve sales effectiveness and support investment revenue growth of China PB and Premier Wealth

3.Internal and External Marketing

• Effective client communication of CIO house views and High Conviction Themes at China Onshore Investment Outlook roadshows, client events, UHNW Roundtables, collaboration events, 1-on-1 client meetings and external industry events.
• Leveraging Global and Asia CIO capabilities and IBCN Research expertise, build up thought leadership and visible public profile through proactive external marketing and media communication.
• Provide bespoke CIO advisory services to UHNW/Family Office clients on asset allocation, portfolio strategy and market analysis
• Contribute to Net New Money generation and new client acquisition through active participation in client pitches, prospecting events and client meetings.
• Drive the local Weekly Investment Meeting and Morning Meeting process in China to deliver effective internal marketing of CIO house views, High Conviction Themes and product fulfillment plans to the Frontline.
• Achieve One Voice communication and effective implementation of CIO house views throughout the whole end-to-end investment and advisory process.
• Develop communication strategy to deliver multi-media and digital CIO marketing to promote CIO house views and raise penetration of High Conviction Themes.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

• 15 years of investment, portfolio strategy and research experience in the finance industry, preferably Private Banking / Private Wealth Management.
• Prior research and investment experience in China multi-assets, China A-share and the onshore bond markets will be a clear advantage.
• University degree in Business or Finance, MBA/MSc Finance degree is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written Mandarin Chinese and English communication skills.
• CFA qualification is not mandatory but a merit.
• Strong experience in cross-divisional collaboration and ability to work in a multi-function team to establish credibility in front of colleagues and clients.
