This team is the backbone of our Global Markets business (one of the largest of its kind in the world) and combines sophisticated 24-hour global coverage with a detailed knowledge of local markets and specialises in foreign exchange, credits and rates, structured derivatives, equities and debt, equity and equity-linked capital markets.
Markets Operations is responsible for driving every part of the trade lifecycle post-execution. This team manages settlement activity, risk and control, adherence to regulatory compliance, and seamless operational client service across 58 countries and territories.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure proper processing of Markets transactions and identify errors before they turn into operations loss incidents or impact clients
- Perform escalation as per agreed thresholds.
- Maintain robust controls around the operations under their responsibility
- Prepare new procedure or revise existing procedure as a result of changes in external or internal environment.
- Implement a strong client profiling process.
- Active participation in the design, testing and rollout of new processes and strategic systems.
- Provide support & share knowledge on markets, products, procedures and core operating platforms for team-members.
- Ensure that you subscribe to formal objectives & personal development program with your manager.
- Ensure that you actively seek regular 1:1 meetings and commit to written minutes and follow-up actions.
- Participate actively to teamwork & leadership training & initiatives provided by the Bank.
- Participate readily in operations and business related projects.
- Safeguards the Company from potential loss and ensures that all procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Constantly reviewing procedures and workflows, identifying necessary changes or enhancement and escalating to the line managers.
- Ensure that daily controls & checklists are completed accurately and on a timely manner, providing appropriate policing and enforcement within the team.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of products, systems, processes, group polies, regulations and rules.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High sense of controls.
- At least 3-5 years relevant work experience.
