You will support Senior Coverage Leadership Executives and Coverage teams within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) and senior stakeholders within Chief Operating Office (COO) as required. The team is responsible for managing and coordinating business and sales management activity. Your core responsibility is driving strategy to grow the business whilst promoting clear governance and controls. Engagement with the Global Businesses is key to ensure a coordinated approach and alignment to Group objectives. You will also represent CIB Banking with Functions and Global Businesses as deemed appropriate.
As a Senior Corporate & Institutional Banking Performance Manager
- Lead US CIB Banking Coverage contribution to relevant investment frameworks, support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and lead inputs to strategic reviews
- Propose, coordinate and lead inputs to key strategic initiatives for CIB Banking and various business transformation activities, including the development of related business cases
- Coordinate performance management and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of strategic initiatives to deliver long-term objectives of revenue generation and cost saving in alignment with Global Businesses and Global Functions
- Coordinate papers/presentations requested by CIB Banking COO, CIB Banking Leadership, Global Businesses or Functions
- Coordinate the strategy, execution, management and reporting of all CIB Banking segments including rollout / maintenance of standard tools, targets, performance tracking, operating models, sales processes, people agenda and governance
- Manage the rollout of new and enhanced relationship management tools such as Insights dashboards, Actionable Intelligence and Customer Management Experience within the sectors and regions you support
- Ensure information flow and sharing among stakeholders in support of effective timely decision making, including pipeline reporting, client intensity reporting, business reviews, and ad hoc reporting needs as required
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the US Corporate and Institutional Banking Coverage teams including Global Corporates, International Mid-Market and Global Network Banking businesses, and broader construct of HSBC’s Global Businesses
- Outstanding senior stakeholder management, interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
- Must have Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
- Must have 2-3 years’ experience at GCB 4 level
- Ability to multitask and prioritize a wide range of requests / actions, with competing deadlines, to best support the Sectors and Regions
- Deliver quality reports, presentations with quick turnaround times and overlapping deadlines
- Highly numeracy and business presentation skills
- Ability to work within a small team structure and on independent tasks with autonomy
- Display a high level of objectivity and ability to challenge senior management on various aspects of their business
- Minimum degree qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any field of study, preferably Economics, Business Management or Finance

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
