We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President Operations -  Collateral & Risk Manila (Securities Services).

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth running of the Collateral Securities Services teams in Kuala Lumpur and Manila that comprises of 30 Full Time Employee’s across both locations
  • Need to have a good understanding of business in terms of concept and architecture.
  • Managing senior stake holders, like account manager, senior security services stake holders, credit risk, wholesale Market Risk, local risk leads, change
  • To build a governance model around the KL and Manila teams and ensure that the work is evenly distributed and monitored
  • To build an end state operating model that helps derive efficiency and better client experience
  • To perform risk and control assessment on breaks and create a strategy to resolve
  • The role requires the person to draw a strategic framework and road map to enhance and monitor the output and also seek avenues to consolidate all reconciliations performed across all regions to be centralized Act as escalation point to ensure any issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Head of Collaterals by contributing and being a part of Regional MANCOM’s and own/drive region wide initiatives that look at Center wide cross asset class strategic deliverables on risk, people, change, policies, etc.

                                    

Job Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the Markets and Collateral management business.
  • Good cross asset class understanding especially Interest Rate, Equity & Credit Derivatives, FX, Repos, Security Borrow Loan (SBL), structured products, etc.
  • Knowledge of International Swap Derivates Associate (ISDA) Credit Support documents.
  • Sound understanding of collateral assets: cash, bonds, equity, letters of credit, etc.
  • Aware of industry initiatives within the Collateral space (Margin Rules(IOSCO),Margin Booking and Allocation,  Clearing Counterparties (CCPs), Basel, European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR), Dodd Frank,etc)
  • Experienced operations professional with significant exposure to managing offshore operations; ideally with a focus on Collateral processing but not exclusively
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills with the capability or track record of managing staff
  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment with ability to support multiple functions and stakeholders

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
