We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior QA Analyst -Screening Operations.
In this role, you will:
- Perform timely Quality activities such as day to day quality reviews on alerts processed by the First / Second level investigators as applicable.
- Update all relevant MI to confirm completion of reviews and errors identified.
- Operate as an independent function while performing the 1st line of defence, with no conflict of interest.
- Responsible for ensuring the quality reviews are completed within the stipulated time frame and defined SLA’s.
- Completion of all assigned tasks and timely escalation to Manager Quality of any issues impacting the performance with nil exceptions which could have a probable business impact on turnaround time.
- Timely and accurate updating of MI and others reporting or tracking tools (MI Tool / Performance Reports / SOD/EOD or other MI) as per process requirements.
- Timely escalation of any Spike / Drop in volume.
- Nil Internal & External Audit findings and Policy/Regulatory Breaches.
- Perform against the standardized quality methodology and support the usage of these standardized tools.
- Maintain high quality standards and avoid rework on the quality reviews completed.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics or any related field
- Familiarity with financial crime compliance concepts such as PEP, watchlists, embargoes, and transaction monitoring
- Good communication skills, especially in documentation, and escalation
- Highly effective motivational and coaching skills
- Ability to analyze business trends to effectively utilize resources and manage productivity to achieve agreed PLAs
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret payment details and identify red flags
- Ability to manage tasks effectively to meet SLAs in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Proficient in MS Office applications – Excel, Outlook, Word
- Experience in Payments Sanctions Screening, Name Screening and Negative News Screening
- Experience in Sanctions, PEP, Exits and AML
- Experience in Sanctions within depth knowledge of SWIFT and other payment systems (Payments Screening).
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
