We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Analyst - Accounts and SSI Data.

 

Global Service Delivery is a business-aligned, customer-servicing organization with the primary objective of driving operational excellence across our businesses worldwide. Achieving this through the consolidation, simplification and continuous improvement of processes across the full range of HSBC operations, the division simultaneously takes responsibility for managing operational, location and processing risk and ensuring that services provided are at a best-in-class price point for the required quality level. Supporting Account Opening, Account Closure and Static maintenance on all key systems as per client requirement. Ensuring BAU, Projects, ad-hoc request is managed appropriately with controls in place and without compromising the quality.

Custody Data Ops is responsible for setting up of custody accounts and maintaining the static data for new and existing custody accounts on the Global Custody System. The process consists of Account Opening, Account Closing, Static Maintenance, Client Static Integrity Check as well as Data Extraction and Project-related activities. We support Asia Pacific, MENA & Lux various HSS Systems.

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Provide daily operations support to ensure all controls are carried out accordingly as required. This will allow additional layer of control to prevent Operational Loss, Reputational Risk, etc.

 

  • Primary contact for the business and clients for escalation issues to ensure all dispute processes are aligned globally to mitigate risk and gain on efficiency.
  • Provides quality customer service and ensures achievement of Performance Level Agreement (PLA)
  • Provide leadership and customer service to all, both top and lower Management, consistent with Group and Company policies and standards. Leading a cohesive team, working in a supportive team environment driven by people’s centric values.
  • Process specialist - to support and guide the team and act as a key referral point for escalation for team members.
  • Monitor team’s performance. Productivity and quality of work are monitored and achieved. Work is organized and completed within agreed timelines, in accordance with procedures.
  • Develop realistic and achievable strategies and action plans to address performance gaps, training and staffing requirements.
  • Create a robust team environment where skills and knowledge are openly shared to achieve team and business goals. 
  •  Prepare and Update Business Contingency Plan (BCP) for Operations Teams.
  • Be aware of issues within teams. All issues / problems are fully analyzed and resolved or escalated in appropriate and timely manner.
  • Appropriate action is taken to prevent recurrence.
  • To align process globally and to consistently ensure risk mitigation

 

Requirements

  • Good communication skills, ability to converse confidently with senior stake holders in country/city offices
  • Very good written and verbal English language skills
  • Good negotiation and influencing skills
  • Vast experience in Custody Accounts Static Data processing would be an added advantage.
  • Ability to learn quickly, transfer knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data. Evidence of good analytical, statistical and data mining skills to study trends and make projections. Production management skills and ability to initiate process improvements.
  • Leadership skills, with ability to build rapport with business areas.
  • Eye for detail in identifying errors/mistakes.
  • A good understanding of the overall securities industry from an operational and regulatory perspective. 

 

  • Knowledge of excel.
