We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager - Quality Assurance Communication Surveillance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing Assistant Managers (AMs) and monitoring operational quality performance i.e., duly completing the quality reviews, meeting the service quality requirements, minimizing cost of errors and ineffective processing.
- Support the GSC Head of Quality in producing MI, acting as a backup, and supporting the deployment of the Risk Compliance and Regulatory Compliance quality model effectively. resources effectively.
- Lead the delivery of appropriate refresher sessions to improve process and service quality, automation & MI dashboard reporting, calibration & coaching, operational motivators, and remedial action for their respective sites.
- To work as part of an independent function for the 1st line of defense, with no conflict of interest and accuracy in submissions.
- Ensure employees adhere to the established operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies, especially given the regulatory implications associated with Compliance Operations.
Job Requirements:
- Market domain or Global Markets environment and organization of similar scale. Knowledge of Surveillance function in a banking environment with exposure to capital markets products is desirable.
- Knowledge of various Global Market products like Equities, Foreign Exchange, fixed income, Derivatives, Over The Counter products such as swaps, digital option, rates trading and structured products etc.
- Proven ability to manage migrations of processes and exposure to diverse/multi-culture work environments with strong organization, time management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication skills and presentation skills are mandatory, as are good tact and diplomacy, as the role requires relationship management with other individuals and teams within the HSBC Group.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; Excel, macros. Knowledge of Visual Basics Automation, and python would be an added advantage. Global Exposure and experience in multi-tasking.
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Knowledge of Electronic-Surveillance, Trade Surveillance and Audio Surveillance monitoring tools.
- Ability to clearly articulate business and regulatory implications of analysis and findings
- Knowledge of financial markets and in particular, financial market regulation.
- Any compliance certification and experience in audit related work.
- Knowledge of regulatory norms around capital market.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
