We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager - Processing.

Fund Services Middle Office is designated to facilitate the provision of services to the client in a consistent manner irrespective of the clients underlying. Our strategy is to support the integration of our clients' chosen Front Office software by enabling the efficient transfer of data between the client and HSBC and ensuring an operationally seamless end to end model.
The Opportunity:
The role is responsible for managing a team working on the maintenance of static data for multiple Middle Office and Fund Admin clients within agreed quality, timing and output targets. The role involves contact with clients and other external parties such as broker and custodians. The job holder is responsible for ensuring static data is ready for fund launches and updates are made to clear Middle Office and Fund Admin exceptions.
In this role, you will:
Impact on the Business/Function
- Typically Managing 4-8 FTEs
- USD1m-1.75m, dependent on local site costs
- Traditional clients, supporting product / sub products at a regional level as follows:
- Single Product: Middle Office
- Multiple Sub Products: Trade Matching, Treasury Settlements, Settlements Control, Cash Processing and FINS Data
Customers / Stakeholders
- Supporting single product and multiple sub product, multiple regions, multiple jurisdictions as follows:
- Multiple Region: (Europe / APAC)
- Multiple Jurisdictions: (Edinburgh, Hong Kong)
Leadership & Teamwork
- Typically managing 4-8FTE, dependent on current BAU footprint and projected growth
- Will be responsible for leading the team in Manila, Philippines for Middle Office.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
- Multiple Product / Sub Product. Multiple Region / Multiple Jurisdiction - Significant complexity/risk and engagement with business partners and external market / client/Auditors. New clients are being on-boarded directly in the SSO, with expectation of BAU delivery from day 1.
- Migration of more complex activities from multiple jurisdictions to HSSO.
- Operational risk threshold through 'single event' control failure identified to USD10m based on 3–5-year data.
- Large variation and the manual nature of processes required by Product / System / Country / Client
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- University Graduate
- Knowledge & industry experience related to securities services operations
- Able to read and understand swift messaging.
- Aptitude for investigating and resolving complex issues and bespoke situations.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and both internal and external parties.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Ability to plan and organize the team’s workload to meet deadlines, considering relative priorities.
- Proven ability to work independently and to motivate and influence others.
- Desire to achieve service excellence which is recognized by all HSS clients, competitors and industry bodies.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
