We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President Quality Control.
Job Responsibilities:
Impact on the Business
- Analyze all regulatory changes related to the shareholding disclosures and assess the impact of the change.
- Make the Quality Team aware of the new regulations / changes in regulations and ensure that the Quality Team accurately incorporates them in their day-to-day operations.
- Review the system rules that are used by the Quality Team and ensure that they cover the complete scope of the BAU operations
- Communicate effectively with the stakeholders adhering to the Group’s guidelines
- Cultivate a positive and collaborative working environment within the team
- Build and maintain strong working relationship with various partners i.e. Business desks, Risk Stewards or other stakeholders.
- Focus on key deliverables and motivate other team members to achieve them
- Create an environment for the delivery of consistent performance measurement, training, career management and succession planning across the DoI function
- Ensure continuous review of the disclosure obligation and changes to the requirements globally
- To effectively manage the implementation of reporting tools and guidelines for the process, identifying and escalating issues for resolution as appropriate
- Regulatory changes and Standard Operating Procedure across the function.
- Assist the VP and Disclosures of Interest Global Head in monitoring and assessing the resourcing, costs and spend of the Disclosures of Interest team
Job Requirements:
- Effectively create and manage a high-performance team through developing, supporting, recognizing and rewarding individual and team performance
- Plan and prioritize work appropriately considering importance, urgency, customer and business impact.
- Analyze and interpret complex data, making high quality and timely decisions, in the interest of the team, colleagues, stakeholders and the Bank
- Build an environment/ culture where new ideas are actively encouraged and fully considered in pursuit of improved risk-based monitoring, reduced operational and regulatory risk, improved work environment and best practice
- Extensive Knowledge of Capital Market (Equity & Fixed Income)
- Extensive knowledge relating to shareholding disclosures across all jurisdictions and exposure to all types of obligation, including interpretation of complex regulations
- Detailed understanding of all lines of business who have an obligation to meet which includes Private Bank, Trust business, Global Banking and Markets, Asset Management, Insurance and Retail Banking
- Experience in direct and indirect people management with the ability to effectively coordinate the activities of multiple groups globally, including experience in managing senior stakeholders
- Detailed understanding of the trading life cycle (Booking Models, source systems, data feed structure) and relevance to the disclosure systems and operational processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, to include and limited to the 1 Line Of Defense - Risk Owners, 2 Line Of Defense - Regulatory Compliance and other internal stakeholders (e.g. Internal Legal, External Counsel, 3 Line Of Defense – Audit, COO Functions, Global Operations (DBS))
