We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President Operations - Global Disclosures of Interest.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzed all regulatory changes related to the shareholding disclosures and assess the impact of the change.
- Communicate effectively to the team to ensure they are aware of the new regulations / changes in regulations. Oversee to ensure team accurately incorporates them in their day-to-day operations.
- Undertake periodic review of system rules that are used by the team and ensure that they cover the complete scope of the disclosure obligation/ BAU operations.
- Oversee to ensure 100% quality check are completed by Control team on the monitoring activities.
- Own implementation and operationalization of all new regulatory changes to the process, includes documentation, creating rules, associated processes/procedures, training of staff and implementation into daily operations.
- Provide critical inputs pro-actively to assist management in identifying and containing operations risk, monitoring, reporting and fostering a positive culture.
- Ensure Group’s compliance to the regulations by understanding varied disclosure regulations across jurisdictions with respect to shareholdings and holdings in sovereign bonds and utilize the knowledge.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the various capital market, various instruments traded, corporate actions and implications of such corporate actions, trade life cycle, various business lines of HSBC, trading and booking partners of the business and apply the knowledge in monitoring activity to take correct decision.
Job Requirements:
- Extensive Knowledge of Capital Market (Equity & Fixed Income).
- Extensive knowledge relating to shareholding disclosures across all jurisdictions and exposure to all types of obligation, including interpretation of complex regulations.
- Detailed understanding of all lines of business who have an obligation to meet which includes Private Bank, Trust business, Global Banking and Markets, Asset Management, Insurance and Retail Banking.
- Detailed understanding of the trading life cycle (Booking Models, source systems, data feed structure) and relevance to the disclosure systems and operational processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, to include and limited to the 1LOD- Risk Owners, 2LOD - Regulatory Compliance and other internal stakeholders (e.g. Internal Legal, External Counsel, 3LOD – Audit, COO Functions, Global Operations (DBS)).
