We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Asst. Mgr – Processing – Equities Settlements.

 

The Trade Control Analyst will support the Sector, Program Trading and Sales desks for the Cash Equities business. The role holder will support HBEU/HBCE Cash Equity businesses. Role holder must establish good relationship with internal counterparties and external counterparties in order to resolve and manage issues related to the businesses promptly. As a result, you support the equity franchise with their institutional clients daily, reduce risk and escalate when necessary.

Principal responsibilities

  • Effective escalation of all operational risks and issues associated with daily tasks
  • Continue to build strong working relationships with the various stakeholder teams.
  • Investigate/remediate the various FO/FO, FO/BO, BO/BO reconciliations ensuring accuracy and quality throughout.
  • Where appropriate, review current trade flow and provide solutions to support and enhance STP initiatives and process improvements
  • Manage queues ensuring trades feed promptly into the settlement system
  • Ensure timely collation and distribution of internal reports in conjunction with desk controls such as the Cancel/Amend, late booked, and long dated reports
  • Ensure any transaction reporting rejections are resolved in a timely manner
  • Ensure all daily checklist tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Demonstrate a high standard of client service from the team to internal and external stakeholders.

 

Requirements

  • A college graduate diploma or degree in any discipline.
  • Accomplished understanding of Equities franchise and the associated risks
  • Highly numerate
  • Ability to problem solve, articulate requirements and implement change
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately in a pressurised environment
  • Quick learner, analytical and has keen attention to detail
