We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of UK Cyber Technical Lead /Senior Associate Director

In this role, you will

• We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Security Engineering Lead to support the design, implementation and continuous improvement of cybersecurity architecture and engineering across our technology platforms. This role will provide strong hands-on technical leadership, helping to protect information assets while enabling business innovation and operational excellence.
• You’ll work closely with business and technology teams to maintain robust risk and control standards ensuring that the cyber team is engineering led in their approach. This role is based in India and reports to the UK Cyber Tech Head, supporting the UK Technology and Business teams.
• Deliver the UK Cybersecurity Technology agenda: Lead security architecture and engineering across cloud, on‑prem and hybrid platforms, implementing secure-by-design controls and automation aligned to NIST/ISO 27001 and HSBC risk appetite.
• Drive platform security and technical risk delivery: Work with platform owners and engineering teams to embed security across the lifecycle, and lead day-to-day threat detection, vulnerability management and incident response activities (including RCA and remediation).
• Coach and grow the technical team: Coach and develop junior security architects/engineers, promote continuous improvement and innovation, and provide clear, practical guidance by translating technical risk for senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience  : Over all 14+yrs of experience and 6+ 6+ years in cybersecurity architecture/engineering and platform security in large, complex organisations (banking/financial services preferred).
• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience) plus relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP/CCSP, SABSA, AWS/Azure Security).
• Strong knowledge of NIST/ISO 27001, cloud and on-prem security, secure SDLC, and delivery of controls at scale across IAM, network, crypto and automation.
• Proven leadership of junior team members and cross-functional initiatives, with excellent stakeholder communication; willing to travel as required
