If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC and fulfil your potential. Whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or simply take you in an exciting new direction, HSBC offers opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.
HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Delivery Management.
In this role, you will:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives from discovery and prioritisation through implementation, governance approval, launch and continuous improvement, ensuring clear milestones and measurable outcomes.
- Own programme execution across multiple AI initiatives (internal tooling, reusable platforms, experimentation and customer-facing solutions), including delivery plans, dependencies and workstreams.
- Manage delivery control through RAID, dependency resolution, status reporting and escalation, establishing delivery rhythms that provide senior stakeholders with clear visibility.
- Shape and execute AI use cases with business and product stakeholders, ensuring clear objectives, defined users, measurable benefits, success criteria and a credible path to production.
- Coordinate technical delivery across engineering, architecture, data, cyber, risk, compliance, product and business teams, ensuring alignment to enterprise standards and target architecture.
- Enable informed decision-making by maintaining a working understanding of modern AI concepts (e.g., Agentic AI, RAG, LLMs, evaluation and tool integration) and translating complex topics into clear business language.
- Navigate governance, risk and compliance by coordinating submissions, evidence, approvals and assurance activities (including model risk, AI review forums, cyber security reviews and change/release governance).
- Drive adoption and benefits realisation by tracking usage, quality, operational performance and lessons learned post-implementation, and helping establish reusable AI standards, patterns and delivery practices.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven ability to deliver AI (or data/technology) use cases with clear business value, measurable outcomes and production readiness.
- Strong experience translating strategic priorities into structured delivery plans (workstreams, milestones, dependencies) and driving execution across multiple parallel initiatives.
- Demonstrated capability in cross-functional coordination across technology, architecture, data, cyber security, risk, compliance and business stakeholders.
- Solid track record of RAID management, delivery governance, and transparent reporting, with confidence to escalate and unblock issues at pace.
- Working knowledge of modern AI concepts (e.g., LLMs, RAG, agentic patterns, evaluation/monitoring), with the ability to ask the right questions and identify delivery risks.
- Experience navigating governance and control environments, ensuring cyber, model risk, architecture, change and responsible AI considerations are identified early and progressed efficiently.
- Ability to establish and promote reusable delivery patterns and ways of working that reduce lead time without compromising control quality.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, producing concise, evidence-based updates and facilitating decisions across diverse audiences and forums.
