We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Programme Manager (EoL/EoS, Governance, Delivery)/ Associate Director to lead and deliver a programme of work that remediates technologies and services that are End of Life (EoL) / End of Support (EoS), ensuring service continuity, reduced operational risk, and improved resilience. You’ll coordinate cross-functional delivery across Technology, Operations, business teams, service owners, Risk, and vendors to retire, upgrade, replace, or modernise ageing components – safely, compliantly, and at pace.
In this role, you will:
- Own end-to-end delivery of SSP remediation outcomes (upgrade, replace, decommission, migrate, or re-platform) and Milestones across multiple workstreams and teams
- Build and maintain a multi-year EoL/EoS remediation delivery plan and roadmap aligned to service criticality, risk exposure, and business priorities
- Run programme governance forums (steerco, working groups), producing clear reporting on progress, risk, budget, and outcomes
- Coordinate technical assessments (e.g., compatibility, capacity, resilience, security posture) and ensure remediation work meets internal control requirements and aligns with relevant policy and standards (e.g., security, resilience, change governance)
- Partner with service owners, product owners, engineers, infrastructure teams, and third parties to align priorities and unblock delivery
- Translate technical remediation into business impact, risk reduction, and customer outcomes for senior stakeholders
- Coordinate resource planning across teams, ensuring capacity is aligned to milestones and critical path
- Manage programme budget, forecasting, and benefits tracking (risk reduction, cost avoidance, resilience improvements) and support business case and investment requests where remediation requires funding.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Collaborative, outcome-focused, and comfortable operating across boundaries. You’ll bring structure without bureaucracy, move at pace, and create clarity in complex environments
- Experience of EoL/EoS remediation, technology obsolescence, platform upgrades, or large-scale migrations is preferrable. Structured, pragmatic, and delivery-driven. You’ll bring clarity to ambiguity, keep teams aligned, and can switch comfortably between exec-level narrative and engineering-level detail – without getting lost in either
- Solid understanding of enterprise technology stacks (infrastructure, middleware, databases, networks, cloud) and service management concepts. Experience of leading large, diverse teams and managing significant budgets (c.$10m+), with a clear focus on outcomes and the sustainable delivery of Technology projects
- You’ll be able to produce clear, decision-focussed reporting across progress, outcomes, risks, financials, and benefits. Experience working in Agile/Hybrid delivery models; able to blend Agile execution with programme-level governance
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under time pressure. Excellent stakeholder management! Able to influence without direct authority and drive decisions top conclusion
- A clear communicator, you’ll be comfortable writing reports for senior stakeholder. Strong risk mindset with experience navigating security, resilience, and operational risk requirements.
- Good to Have : SSP programme charter, integrated delivery plan, and governance model. EoL/EoS remediation roadmap with prioritisation by criticality and risk
- Workstream plans with milestones, dependencies, and cutover approach. RAID log with active mitigation and escalation paths. Regular reporting pack (progress, RAG status, financials, risks, decisions). Successful delivery of upgrades/migrations/decommissions with minimal service disruption.
