We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Providing full scope of the day-to-day Production Support service including resolution of the live incidents as well as post-resolution problem management activities.
- To provide workarounds/resolutions with Active participation in crisis calls.
- Technical expertise in finding root cause of major system problems - inputs based on business/operations requirements.
- Participate and contribute in implementing automations in the team.
- Ensuring use of best practices are followed by complying with Group Compliance Policy.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- 5 years+ experience in banking domain with preference for payments/liquidity knowledge.
- Strong analytical skills/Troubleshooting/debugging SQL, Unix and Stored Procedures. Hands-on experience on tools like App D / Splunk / Control-M /Docker/ Kubernetes/ Kafka/ Rabbit MQ/ PostGres / JIRA.
- Experience of high frequency change, specifically adoption, engineering and execution of automated CICD pipelines
- Understanding of Unix and Shell scripting.
- Experience in Agile/ DevOps environment and in assisting in production support.
- Good communication skills and be able to efficiently communicate in the production/crisis calls.
- Understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of GCP Console and Services like GKE, GCE, CloudSQL, Memorystore
- Exposure working with Cloud Logging, Monitoring, Alerts
- Ability to read and interpret logs for troubleshooting
- Knowledge of basic DevOps tools like Jenkins, GCP DevOps toolset
- Familiar with tools like Kafka, Zookeeper, Prometheus, Grafana, Kong API Gateway, Istio
- Respond to incidents, alerts, and request promptly using tools like GCP Operations Suite (Stackdrivers), Grafana, Promethues, xMatter, and other monitoring tools
- Escalate critical issues to L2/L3 support team, providing detailed logs
- Basic Understanding of Kubernetes and containerized workloads
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including VPC, Subnet, DNS, Firewall, IAM, Load balancing
