We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer

 

In this role you will:

  • Contribute to automation development using Python, Terraform, Docker, Jenkins, AWS CODE DEPLOY, Digital Nexus tools.
  • Support infrastructure automation initiatives across regions under the guidance of technical leads
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within HSBC infrastructure to ensure smooth integration and delivery
  • Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, development, testing, and deployment of automation solutions
  • Investigate technical challenges, propose solutions, and adopt best practices from the global engineering community
  • Follow and help implement technical standards, governance models, and automation tooling across the engineering lifecycle
  • Work within a scrum team to support the technical roadmap and service delivery goals
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code modules
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience on cloud environments , Git hub, and Jenkins in a production environment

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • 2–5 years of experience in infrastructure automation using Python, Shell scripting, Ansible, Terraform, and Cloud SDKs
  • Working knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native architecture principles, SDLC governance and implementation using gitops workflow
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and data management fundamentals
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices including CI/CD, configuration management, and automated testing
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts or interest in applying them to automation is a plus
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively within a team
  • Awareness of financial services industry standards, compliance, and security best practices
  • Preferred certified cloud engineer – AWS/GCP. Have worked on observability etc
