We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role Senior Product Designer.
Purpose of the role:
To lead the end-to-end design of intuitive, accessible and high-quality digital experiences, translating customer needs and business goals into effective product solutions while strengthening design standards, systems and team capability.
In this role, you will:
- Lead end-to-end design across platforms, from discovery and wireframes to visual design and interactive prototypes.
- Create and review clear, user-friendly interface text that guides users through tasks and improves usability.
- Champion a user-centred design approach by conducting or supporting research to understand user needs, pain points and behaviours.
- Collaborate with product owners, software engineers and stakeholders to define problems, align on outcomes and co-create solutions.
- Translate complex customer journeys and business requirements into simple, intuitive and visually engaging interfaces.
- Drive the adoption and evolution of design systems in line with HSBC global brand and user interface standards.
- Present and communicate design work with clear rationale, influencing stakeholders at different levels.
- Embed accessibility, compliance and inclusive design practices throughout the design lifecycle.
To be successful you will:
- Have proven experience in user experience design and user interface design, ideally in a fast-paced or large-scale environment.
- Have experience writing and refining user-centred interface text as part of the design process.
- Be proficient in Figma for design and prototyping.
- Have a strong portfolio demonstrating responsive and mobile-first design and the impact delivered for users or the business.
- Be familiar with user journey mapping, user research methods and workflow design.
- Have working knowledge of accessibility principles and how to apply them in digital products.
- Have experience working in Agile delivery and collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Be confident coaching and mentoring others; experience in financial services or other regulated environments is preferred.
