We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Real Estate Services HT India
In this role you will
- Lead Real Estate Services (RES) delivery for the Market entity to improve employee and workplace experience, aligned to regional RES strategy.
- Set and deliver local RES strategy, budget objectives, governance and oversight in partnership with the Country Head of Real Estate Services.
- Manage end-to-end through the delivery of innovative and forward-thinking initiatives relating to the portfolio which supports the business needs across Portfolio Optimisation, Workplace and Facilities Management Solutions, Retail Solutions, Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), Critical Facilities, Future of Work Transformation and Risk Management.
- Shape and embed the Future of Work programme locally, enabling hybrid and flexible working in partnership with HR and other stakeholders providing a healthy, safe and sustainable solution to support the current and future needs of HSBC.
- Drive ESG/Sustainable Operations outcomes, including energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste management/recycling, sustainable consumption and relevant certifications (e.g., LEED, WELL).
- Use data and management information (MI) to provide a forward-looking view of occupancy and expense, identify decision points, and support portfolio optimization.
- Manage owned assets from a landlord/investor perspective, including operations, marketing, review, and P&L ownership where applicable.
- Lead and govern strategic business partners and third-party service providers, including KPI reviews and compliance with global/regional MSAs and local service agreements.
- Improve customer experience by analyzing root causes of dissatisfaction/SLA breaches and implementing corrective actions.
- Engage with regulators as needed to understand current and future requirements related to RES capabilities.
- Maintain a strong risk and control environment, reassessing operational risks and ensuring alignment to HSBC’s 3 Lines of Defense.
- Lead the RES entity team (including outsourced provision), owning delivery targets, talent agenda, organizational structure, and performance management.
- Drive automation and “end-to-end” service improvements by working with Global/Regional RES, HR, IT and outsourced partners.
- Build strong vendor governance to ensure seamless delivery, compliance with HSBC standards and contract obligations.
- Responsible for the Travel and Expense policies for Real Estate Services employees for the Entity in the Market
- Utilize and support centrally developed golden sources of tools and data to ensure opportunities for efficiency and consistent reporting
- Engage and develop strong relationships with stakeholders across the Entity in the Market, LoB and Functions to ensure their service needs are met
- Participate in governance forums including the Entity Market COO ExCo.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience across Real Estate Services capabilities (advantage), such as Workplace Experience and Future of Work Transformation.
- Proven ability to act as a trusted adviser to senior/executive stakeholders, translating business outcomes into clear RES outcomes.
- Demonstrated track record of leading and delivering change (within own teams/structures and in partnership with the business).
- Strong data compilation and data-driven decision-making capability to deliver RES and Sustainable Operations targets.
- Strong financial acumen and commercial skills, including managing annualized P&Ls (e.g., for assets and/or services).
- Strong presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization (desirable) and understanding of HSBC Group organization (desirable).
- General understanding of ESG/Sustainable Operations, with an active interest in deepening expertise.
- Leadership behaviors: collaborative, proactive, able to influence and educate colleagues on Future of Work, and lead by example (including alignment to wellness and sustainable operations agendas).
- Strong risk mindset, with the ability to operate within HSBC control frameworks and standards.
