We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Management Specialist .

In this role you will:

  • Lead and co-ordinate IT delivery across business initiatives, ensuring alignment to FSTR priorities and wider HSBC strategy.
  • Partner with the business on planning cycles, covering financials, technology roadmaps, capacity and resource planning.
  • Enable senior IT and Business decision-making through high-quality MI: performance reporting, analytics, stakeholder feedback and forum outputs.
  • Own accurate regional and global IT forecasting in IT COO systems, providing clear variance commentary and challenge/assurance with FSTR sub-asset class heads.
  • Represent FSTR in relevant forums and committees, bringing a joined-up view and driving actions to closure.
  • Design, maintain and monitor internal governance, ensuring effective controls, cadence, and decision traceability.
  • Collate financial data and produce concise, decision-ready financial reporting for the management team (run-rate, forecast, actuals, risks/opportunities).
  • Apply established project methodologies to monitor delivery: milestones, dependencies, resources, costs and benefits realisation, escalating issues early.
  • Ensure adherence to common standards (e.g., Business Transformation Framework/Change Framework) and contribute to continuous improvement of PMO standards and ways of working.
  • Provide cover for the Global Strategy & Ops Manager, maintaining continuity of reporting, governance, stakeholder engagement and operational rhythm.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements

  • 13–17 years in project/programme management and/or PMO leadership in complex environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in:
  • Project Planning (integrated schedules, dependencies, critical path) And Strategic Planning (roadmaps, prioritisation, outcomes)
  • Project Management (end-to-end delivery, governance, RAID) , Budget Management (forecasting, variance, financial controls)
  • Resource Planning (capacity planning, demand management).PMO operations (standards, reporting, governance cadence)GPDM and pioneer (working knowledge and practical application) and global stakeholder management expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word; MS Project/Planner a plus).
  • Expertise in leading incident and trend analysis,reporting.
  • Experience in centre of excellence for data analysis, report design, process management, reporting and project planning.
  • PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certification (SAFe, Scrum) or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering regulatory, risk, or large-scale transformation programmes in financial services.
