We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of an Associate Director, Delivery Management Specialist
Within HSBC’s Corporate and Institutional banking department, Collateral Technology provide the technology to enable the margining function across thousands of HSBC clients globally every day. We handle several business problems/challenges & Regulatory requirements around the use & management of collateral from Front to Back Office by the Asset Classes, Traded Risk, Credit Risk, Finance & Operations (Collateral Ops & Settlement).
We are part way through a multi-year plan to build a brand-new Collateral platform which will eventually replace the current platform. The new collateral platform comprises micro services leveraging the latest open-source infrastructure. We are investing heavily across our technology and engineering domains and to accelerate achieving our vision we are seeking an experienced full stack Sr. Associate Director, Technology Management.
In this role, you will:
- Responsible for defining ESF specific business and technology requirements for front to back regulatory reporting systems and interaction with Regional pod to facilitate the delivery.
- Solicit and establish Business requirements with key stakeholders. Produce key project artefacts based on requirements and use cases. Lead triaging of work and issues.
- Key stakeholder status updates to triage and working group meetings. Solicit prioritisation of work with key stakeholders and provide subject matter expertise where required.
- Ownership and management of a Book of Work comprising multiple project streams and deliverables with often competing priorities.
- Drive adoption of agile mindset and accelerated delivery pipeline by embracing automated tools in DevOps transformation
- Coordination of the end to end solution with Primary Trading systems and Reporting stack. Work as part of a global and diversified development team across 6-8 primary trading systems to deliver projects, design and propose solutions for the development of new functionalities, enhancements and maintenance of all the applications and services used within the business line.
- Assist with initial analysis for new Trade Reporting requirements to establish "order of magnitude". Assist with NFA queries and explaining ad-hoc legacy issues. Assist Reg MO on queries and initial analysis on issues.
- Facilitate and coordinate explaining problems raised and root cause, analyse ad-hoc queries related to reconciliation and exceptions. Provide expertise on ESF related queries/product questions, etc.Review functional design and stories alongside closure of tasks after production verification.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- M. S/MBA/ B.E/B. Tech/M. E/ degree with 14 years of IT experience.
- Excellent problem solving skills, with the ability to solve a complex issue logically.
- Product Knowledge – candidate needs to have sound Equities and Securities Financing product knowledge including Cash Equities, Exchange Traded Derivatives, Equity Derivatives, Delta One, SBL, Repo and Prime.
- Prior experience of working on a Trade / Transaction Reporting programme (such as SEC, FCA (MiFID), HKMA, MAS, ASIC, DFA (CFTC) and/or EMIR).
- Agile Project Management – this hybrid BA/PM role covers a range of project management responsibilities. Candidate needs to manage multiple competing (even contradicting) requirements in different work streams and manage the deliverables.
- Programme management skills to juggle multiple projects.
- Ability to work independently, with minimum guidance/supervision as well as providing guidance to BAs and developers on issue remediation and solution design.
- Experience in end to end business analysis and resolution of issues (remediation).
- Ability to work as part of a Global Team, working across different time zones and with different teams.
- Understanding of trade capture flows (e.g. booking scenarios for OTC products & related clearing activities), as well as middleware, counterparty reference data, confirmation & clearing processes), preferably across a variety of OTC Asset Classes.
- Ability to work effectively to strict timelines and deadlines.
- Awareness of Trade Reporting mechanisms (e.g. connectivity to GTR, FpML etc), but not necessarily deep technical knowhow.
- Ability to work with Technology teams in downstream reporting layer(s) and primary trading systems (where necessary) and business users (Ops, FO, Data, Compliance, Regional heads).
