Platform Lead/Associate Director, Data and Analytics

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Data and Analytics

In this role, you will:

• Hands-on experience on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Shell scripting for automation and deployment. Solid understanding of GCP components (e.g compute, storage, networking, security etc). 
• Experience with data ingestion and streaming tools such as Apache NiFi, Pub/Sub and Kafka. 
• Intermediate proficiency in Python and/or Java for application development, scripting, relational Database Management System (RDBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server. 
• Prompt engineering and hands-on experience with AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and similar platforms. Exposure to AI concepts or participation in AI-related projects is considered an advantage. 
• Define and implement engineering standards, governance frameworks and best practices across the organization. Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements 
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the engineering practice. Mentor and coach team members in application architecture, data management, and AI technologies. 
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including DORA metrics, to measure the effectiveness of engineering practices. Report on progress and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders. 
• Accountable with the Head of Architecture to review requirements from a testability perspective and formulate the non-functional testing strategy. Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered. 

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on engineering practices and governance. 
• Proven experience in application architecture and data management. 
• Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in banking or financial services. 
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
• Technical acumen in cloud computing, CI/CD pipelines, and software development lifecycle. 
• Ability to influence and drive changes within a complex organizational structure. 
• Strong analytical skills to assess engineering practices and recommend improvements.
