We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.
In this role, you will:
• Managing the defining of the right service offerings to balance the business and customer needs and demands against costs.
• Accountable for managing design processes, solution architectures, and definition of key metrics.
• Accountable for managing all risks and Resilience tasks for the service like Vulnerability management, Patching, Role-swap, DR etc.
• Act as a point of escalation for the development & delivery teams.
• Accountable for ensuring that the implemented service meets the design and necessary functional and non-functional requirements, and any transition into the live environments is fully documented in the stipulated system.
• Ensure that the service continues to meet the customer needs & demands and takes corrective action where necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, formal service availability reporting against agreed availability targets.
• Managing continual service improvement – ensuring incremental improvements to the Service, corrective measures to recover service performance, and eventually the demise of the Service when it is no longer required.
• Working with technology teams/pods to devise action plans to prevent incident re-occurrence. Ensure all prod incidents raised to L3 are addressed within required SLAs.
• Engaging all relevant stakeholders to maintain visibility on their service availability, operability metrics, risk appetite, incidents and control effectiveness and to provide robust challenge to the same audience when risk appetites are threatened and instigate the incident process when risk appetite is breached.
• Managing the collaboration across teams to ensure consistency and continuously improve service management process execution. Manage the provision of guidance and help teams in relation to service management processes to balance speed to market against operability, stability and availability.
• Managing adhoc work through the ITSO Book of Work (ITSO BOW).
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Experience of delivering solutions for complex on-premises IT systems
• Experience of leading a virtual/offline team made up of stakeholders and IT colleagues from multiple disciplines, geographies and time zones
• Working technical knowledge of common infrastructure patterns and products, including:
• RedHat LINUX operating systems
• IBM Websphere & MQ messaging middleware
• Oracle, Mongo databases
• z/OS Mainframe operating system
• OpenAM, Transmit authentication
• Good to have Agile / Scrum certification
• Sound in IT Risk Management Skill, Proven track record in application management and governance.
• Exposure to software lifecycle (build, testing, transition, maintenance).
• Infrastructure maintenance and management exposure. Proven track record in IT as well business stakeholder management.
• Experience on Incident Management, Problem Management, Event Management and Change Management and Capacity Management, Exposure to service transition to move newly build services to live smoothly.
• Exposure Cert maintenance and renewals, Infrastructure Patching, Evergreening, Vulnerabilities.
• Lead the production issues to identify RCA and get it fixed by applications team to avoid recurrence.
• Proven exposure to smoothly running DR/Roleswap activities for owned services.
• Exposure to Agile methodology, DevOps.
• Exposure to HSBC Service Management and Governance processes and tools i.e EIM, PLADA, UCMDB, SCOTT, ODS, HELIOS, ICE, SNOW , BRETT ETC.
