We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.
In this role, you will:
- Participate / support Senior Implementation Manager for implementation planning, management and governance. Provide input into planning, backlog and RAID management
- Management and execution of 5-week implementation process. Working with multiple delivery teams, manage/co-ordinate from post-UAT, through release testing/change management activities, deployment and then post-implementation management,
- Running planning sessions, daily scrums with IT PM’s/resources and PIR’s, Scrum master – running daily scrums, Jira/sprint management, removing blockers and continuous improvement, Overall release RAID management and status reporting, Stakeholder communication, Go/no-go meeting management, Management of multiple parallel implementations as different stages.
- Producing implementation supporting artifacts. Change Records, Weekend Deployment Technical Runbooks, Checkpoint e-mails, preparing presentations/reports, etc.
- Implementation Management. Changes are deployed on weekend during specific change windows, expectation is to be part of the management shift rota managing changes or overall weekend implementation escalation. Deployment windows are overnight Sat and PVT / Live monitoring on a Sunday
- Environment management - Shared across the team, Environment release entry and exit gate management, Ensure all environments are in sync from a functionality and NFR perspective, Management and scheduling of patches and NFR’s.
- ITSO Supporting tasks (#4 above) – Shared across the team, Supports IT Service owners with delivery of service supporting activities, e.g. Audit Requests, Disaster Recovery, Patching plans & execution, Process improvement points, workflow automation, Back-up tests, Implementation of improvement points/automation, etc.
To be successful, you will:
- Bachelor's degree in business or technical degree with at least 8-12 years of software development, computer operating systems, and payment processing experience
- Appropriate project management, IT and/or business qualification with a strong academic record. Experience of working with Prince 2 project management, Agile and ITIL methodologies
- A good technical IT knowledge on the infrastructure side around servers, apps etc and being well versed in this would be advantageous. Proven ability to work directly with users and management to plan and co-ordinate requirements, provide status updates, and build good relationships and good rapport with technical and non-technical staff
- Production of change records, representing changes to CAB’s and managing actions. Experience in Preparing Implementation & Deployment plans and executing the same. Proven understanding of change management processes in a fully change managed environment (ITIL). Oversee the implementation of workflow and automation solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Oracle, Unix and Kafka architecture, deployment considerations and structured infrastructure methodologies. Managing 3rd party and internal resources to deliver projects
- Experience of communicating complex solutions to non-technical project stakeholders and working with technical project stakeholders. Proficient with Windows office applications, Jira and Confluence. Experience of documenting and handing over solutions to operational teams
- Must be familiar with Scaled Agile delivery and principles deliver enterprise application. Understanding of wholesale banking products and processes (payments experience is a plus), as well as the interdependencies within the end-to-end landscape. Comfortable working with remote team members in different time zones and from diverse settings.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate and influence within a large complex matrix organization. Manage Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies (RAID) for each implementation
