We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Business Management Specialist
In this role, you will
- Ownership and delivery of strategic planning cycles across change portfolios to ensure financial investment decisions supports Technology strategy, risk appetite and aligns to HSBC strategy and future business / customer needs.
- Ensure accurate financial management of governed targets, forecast and actuals (in collaboration with the business where aligned to Value Streams). Manage spend to be in line with targets, run rate analysis, and actively challenge forecast accuracy
- Ensure programme suppliers across different areas of GCIO have correct interlock of budget in place with Cybersecurity, keeping within overall targets. Manage the process for changes to targets and quarterly tollgates.
- Coordinate and participate in the regular reviews of project financial analysis and reporting, including providing summarised views for key stakeholders regarding headcounts, rates and position change.
- Define Cybersecurity Cost Allocation Methodology (CAM) for RTB/CTB Billable projects, communicate allocation logic to stakeholders and resolve CAM disputes and customer queries.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulations to ensure that the bank is always aligned with the latest developments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure that the bank's portfolios are optimised for delivery performance, cost and security.
- Be an active and engaged member of the GCIO COO community. Lead and manage GCIO Portfolio & Accountability Management Finance team of 1 FTE. Build a strong network within HSBC.
To be successful , you will
- Proven track record of leadership in programme management roles within the financial services industry, preferably within multinational banks.
- Strong understanding of Technology operational management requirements for banks and knowledge of the external environment - regulatory, political, competitor and market.
- Deep financial and commercial awareness.
- Demonstrable experience in managing significant financial and resource plans, organizational transformation, and project portfolio management, with a track record of driving results in complex, matrixed organisations.
- Ability to manage and mitigate operational risk effectively.
- Maintains expert knowledge of stakeholder requirements, competitor activities and market trends to influence future direction.
- Understanding of the HSBC Group and its strategy, structures and processes
- Knowledge of the external environment - regulatory, political, competitor and market.
