We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Delivery Management

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop and support Python services and cloud components; deliver features from build to production.
  • Contribute to LLM-enabled application development where required.
  • Apply engineering best practices: testing strategy, code reviews, CI/CD hygiene and secure coding.
  • Work with delivery leads on sprint planning, estimation, dependency management and release readiness.
  • Implement and maintain observability (logging/metrics/alerts) and operational documentation (runbooks).
  • Collaborate with Architecture/Cyber/Risk to meet HSBC governance and control requirements.

To be successful, you will:

  • Strong Python engineering skills with production-grade coding, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Prompt engineering plus proven delivery of LLM applications and familiarity with leading market LLM platforms.
  • Solid cloud knowledge across GCP and Azure, including cloud-native design and operations.
  • Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, storage services, and Cloud Functions/serverless.
  • Data engineering capability in SQL/NoSQL, with DBT exposure; streaming via Pub/Sub or Kafka (Dataproc desirable).
  • Delivery toolchain experience in CI/CD using Git, Jira, Jenkins, plus Maven/Gradle and Ansible where relevant; Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Security and enterprise readiness: IAM/AD/ADLDS, roles/service accounts/entitlements; plus stakeholder management, compliance awareness, mentoring and outcome focus.
