We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Software Engineer

In this role, you will:

• As part of the SSSDML IT Team, the incumbent will be required to:
• Work closely with the Team Lead/ Business Analyst/ Project Manager, assisting with the requirements gathering process and support business users queries
• Perform the technical analysis and recommend viable IT solutions to meet these requirements
• Design, develop and implement IT solutions to meet business needs, according to established standards, processes and best practices
• Design and conduct testing to ensure the quality of all deliverables
• Produce documentations on system solutions to ensure traceability, maintainability and smooth implementation across local and regional sites
• Collaborate with different people and parties in and cross PODs to deliver according to timeline
• Support for live implementations, Post-Implementation Support
• Hands on Production Support to cover UK and US timezones. (Working in shifts and on-call will be required)
• When necessary, operate in different time-zones (eg: UK, Hong Kong/ Guangzhou, India) to work seamlessly with colleagues in other IT teams for the successful delivery of projects.
• Collaborate to Building and maintaining effective working relationships with IT & management teams of various systems involved.
• Ensuring solutions are consistent and where possible future fit to comply with department’s strategy.
• Ensuring the Project Team is aware of, and complies with, IT Strategic direction as defined by the Technical Architecture Team.
• Delivering solutions in a timely manner (according to the published plans).
• Ensure compliance with all relevant internal control standards and external regulatory requirements and contribute to DevOPS activities. 
• Carrying out the necessary level of project reporting to the Project Manager as required

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Essential skills / experience – Minimum Qualification and Skills Required:

• 3+ yrs of IT working experience, preferably in an enterprise or a global environment.
• Full stack Engineer - Excellent JAVA development experience and solid technical knowledge and development experience in JAVA/J2EE, SQL, Spring Core framework, Spring Batch, XML, UNIX , Shell Scripting.
• Good hands on and excellent knowledge on scheduling tools like, Ansible and Control-M to configure schedules and analyse issues. Able to trouble shoot issues with these tools with quick turnaround.
• Expertise on Object Oriented design patterns. 
• Excellent MS Windows and MS Office.
• Good hands on and excellent knowledge of middleware and messaging protocols such as MQ Series etc…
• Strong data/fact based analytical and problem solving skills, able to work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines.
• Excellent understanding of the full project lifecycle, DevOPS and Agile methodology
• Ability to easily navigate and adapt quickly and effectively using different tools and technologies
• Good interpersonal, communication (English – verbal and written) and presentation skills.
• Familiar with tooling set for CI/CD pipeline, Ansible, Jenkins...etc.

• Knowledge of Treasury Markets products and post-trade operations
• Overall financial services industry knowledge with specific functional expertise Ability to build, maintain and navigate the organization using formal / informal networking skills and work effectively and efficiently with a diverse team.
• Good communication (English – verbal and written) skills.
• Cloud experience.
