We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist
In this role, you will :
- Provide end-user support for AppDynamics, Splunk, and DataDog within an international team, supporting the wider WPB development community during IN business hours.
- Own the full system engineering lifecycle: requirements, design, development, integration, testing, documentation, and implementation across on-premises and AWS environments.
- Act as a subject matter expert in Splunk, AppDynamics, and Cloud by challenging current solutions and driving continuous improvement of the codebase.
- Maintain and improve supporting tooling through configuration management, automation, and a strong infrastructure ownership mindset.
- Drive delivery across multiple workstreams by partnering effectively with colleagues and stakeholders and adapting to varying complexity.
- Ensure strong governance through timely, accurate reporting and proactive management of epics, stories, and risks.
- Create and maintain clear service and process documentation and perform peer code reviews to promote quality and good engineering practices.
- Contribute actively to a virtual Infra DevOps team, including readiness for participation in a 24x7 on-call rota (US hours/weekends) as needed.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong written and spoken English, with confidence working in a multicultural, global team environment.
- Experience building and supporting services in public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Strong version control practices, with in-depth working knowledge of GitHub.
- Proficiency in scripting (for example Python and Bash) and building CI/CD pipeline-based deployments.
- Administrative knowledge of observability tools, especially Splunk, AppDynamics, and DataDog.
- Proven problem-solving ability, with ownership mindset and flexibility to lead hands-on or oversee resolution as needed.
- Automation and continuous improvement mindset, including the ability to turn technical detail into clear, consumable reports and a strong appetite to learn new technologies
