We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - Business Management Unit

Purpose of the role  

  • Support the Head of Business Management Unit to deliver the end-to-end Cost Performance and HR finance reporting, FRP/ forecasting and workforce management processes for overall HR. Working in a team with Regional CAO, Group Service Owners to devise strategies to meet goals. Should have a rich experience in partnering and influencing key stakeholders, along with managing budgeting, forecasting, accounting, variance analysis, and decision support analytics.
  • Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis to forecast quarterly and full year performance
  • Prepare cost projections, analyze and report on current financial status.
  • Conduct thorough research of historical financial data and explore investment options and present risk and opportunities.
  • Governance and Committee Memberships (membership of ExCos, Risk Management Meeting). As applicable depending on role demand

 

  • Influence and escalate key customer issues in an effective way to ensure timely resolution

 

In this role, you will:

  • Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement. Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform HR vertical and regional FRP decisions.
  • Author and update internal documentation, formally initiate and deliver requirements in line with Group HR CAO deliverables. Monthly reporting to senior stakeholders, including commentary, and messaging along with providing actionable insight, and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Actively participate in budgeting, review accounting transactions for data accuracy and establish financial procedure.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions
  • Engage with various stakeholders to understand the criticality and customer requirements and drive requests/ changes accordingly.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders
  • Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with HR CAO partners for delivering HR FRP KPIs, and respond to questions and concerns from business managers and regional executives with supporting research and recommendations
  • Working within a fast moving and demanding environment with significant regulatory changes and strict timelines

To be successful you will:

Functional Knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members/wider business including senior executive management and ability to develop a good rapport in challenging situations. Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and finding, corporate finance and information analysis
  • Analytical approach to assessing and reporting the impact on business performance. Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications.
  • Prior experience in Accounting and Reporting profiles is a must and exposure in month end closures will be preferred
  • Be number savvy and have the appetite in handling and processing mass volume of data. Independent and Confident, able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent time management and timely delivery of regulatory reporting information. Leadership skills, with ability to build rapport with internal & external customers / Business areas
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and work within tight deadlines ensuring a complete and accurate flow of information's between stakeholders. Must be experienced in working under pressure on multiple process improvement projects
