We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer 

In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain Smart Channels software products across the full technology stack, including Android mobile apps and supporting services.
• Provide end-to-end delivery and run support: development, testing, release and operational support, with flexibility to move across the stack.
• Champion modern mobile engineering practices and help evolve standards, tooling and ways of working across the community.
• Grow the technical capability of the mobile engineering community through coaching, knowledge-sharing and hands-on guidance.
• Design, maintain and continuously improve the mobile software delivery lifecycle (CI/CD, quality, reliability, observability and release practices).
• Partner with technical leaders and product owners on strategy, architecture, code standards, roadmap definition and requirements.
• Contribute to broader mobile architecture discussions and drive alignment with engineers, architects, agile coaches and key stakeholders.
• Work with Ops/Dev/Test to identify and address operational risks early (performance, alerting, operator intervention, design defects) across releases/changes.
• Support talent outcomes by collaborating with recruiting and engineering leadership to attract, onboard and retain diverse top talent; stay current on tools, cyber security and relevant regulations (privacy, consent, data residency)

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Strong experience engineering and delivering software products, with solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle in Agile/DevOps environments (including deployment and operations).
• Proven hands-on Android development expertise with Kotlin and Android SDK; strong grasp of clean architecture, enterprise app design and core design principles/patterns.
• Deep knowledge of modern Android development: Gradle, Jetpack Compose (declarative UI), Kotlin Flow, reactive programming, and dependency injection (Dagger/Hilt/Koin).
• Strong quality mindset: unit/UI testing, writing testable code, and advocating engineering excellence and a strong delivery culture.
• Security-aware mobile engineer with good troubleshooting, analysis and problem-solving skills; applies secure-by-design practices.
• Proficient with Git-based version control and common delivery tooling; working knowledge of Jira/Confluence and observability tools such as Splunk/AppDynamics.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with global, cross-functional teams; values open-source ways of working.
• Agentic AI skills: practical use of AI coding assistants; experience integrating LLM/AI APIs (streaming, tool/function calling, on-device ML), applying RAG/MCP patterns and context engineering, making model trade-offs (latency/cost/tokens), and implementing responsible, privacy-compliant AI for banking use cases.
