What you will do:
Global Trade Solutions (GTS) comprises over 4,500 people across more than 50 countries, helping suppliers and buyers with their export and import finance needs. Trade is where HSBC began in 1865, when we financed commerce between Europe and Asia.
The key purpose of this role is to be responsible for the successful end to end implementation of Global Trade Solution deals. This includes client onboarding of complex deals across the whole range of Global Trade Solutions (GTS), for clients located across the European geographies. Key responsibilities include leading the implementation from client kick off through funding, scoping and Statement of Work creation using tried and tested methodologies to deliver high quality client experience, while speeding revenue realization to the bank.
In this role you will:
Lead End to End implementation of Structured Finance deals and specific Core Trade products
• Work closely with Sales, Operations, Technology and Services providing high level of implementation consultancy to clients.
• Project Management and Technical Onboarding, including UAT and PVT testing for successful completion of program set up.
• Ensure close and effective working relationships with key stakeholders: GTS Frontline and structuring, Coverage (senior management, Business lines/segments); IT, Change Delivery, Service delivery; Global functions (e.g., Risk, Finance); Global GTS, core Project Teams, Client Servicing and Supplier Engagement team
• Drive cross business collaboration to ensure strategy alignment and enhance efficiency.
• Establishes effective mechanisms for sharing best practices to enable a consistent approach and appropriate escalation of information to senior management
• Act as a center of expertise for implementation of key strategic projects, including ensuring delivery to high
• Standards, world class governance, effective engagement of key stakeholders and promotion of collaboration and application of best practices across CMB/ GTRF
• Drive project timelines to achieve optimal time to revenue generation
• Project manage multiple deals/ programs concurrently by being central point to both internal and external clients
• Develop implementation plans as agreed for each deal incorporating Project Management methodologies. Provide guidance to clients with respect to tasks and their role withing the project plan
• Attend and host regular client meetings to review project status against the plan
• Provide accurate and timely implementation status and escalate issues that impact client experience to relevant Senior Client Managers
• Build close working relationships with European and Global colleagues in order to facilitate smooth and timely client implementation
• Identify and communicate process gaps and improvement opportunities; express willingness to own improvement initiatives; and be recognized by leading change for the better and excellent client delivery
• Continuously adapt to balance and prioritize different demands of the team and requirements from multiple directions and stakeholders
• Understand and describe which products and channels relate to specific clients and maintain open and honest dialogue with key stakeholders i.e., Sales, Product, Coverage
• Actively engage with colleagues across HSBC to ensure that all clients’ needs are met at the first point of contact.
You should apply if you have:
- Knowledge of Core trade solutions and experience in supply Chain Finance and Receivables finance
- Demonstrated project management experience
- High level of drive and motivation to ensure successful delivery of complex deals and keen interest in long term client portfolio management to deliver best in class service
- Proactive attitude, keen to learn and flexibility to adapt for each client requirement
- Internal/ external stakeholder management; including but not limited to Operations, Technology and Client Service; across a diverse region and at senior client level
- Proven ability to support global high complex companies and multi-million-dollar programs
- Result driven, able to perform risk analysis with consistent track record of on-time/on-quality
- Curious mindset with a clear focus on overcoming inefficiencies, managing risks and replicating successful solutions.
- Proven track record of having closed large ticket structured trade finance deals
- Thorough understanding of Working Capital management aspects
- Strong and analytical skills with very good problem analysis (pointing out problems, recognizing important information, establishing connections)
- Demonstrated experience working across several international markets
- Good knowledge of Receivables Finance, Supply Chain and Open Account propositions and business models.
- Proven ability to navigate and implement inside a cross-functional and matrix organizational model
- Strong independent contributor, who is comfortable working on multiple assignments, where the teams will often be distributed across the region and culturally diverse
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Point and use of market platforms like Bloomberg, S&P capital, functions
- Knowledge of Legal frameworks and capable of managing legal discussions in relation to such Open Account structures.
