What you will do:

 

Provide first line of defence risk management for the Derivatives Clearing, Securities Finance and FX Prime Services businesses. You’ll manage client exposure through margining and limits, and contribute to the development and maintenance of risk and margin methodologies, analytical tools and reporting to support risk decision-making.

 

In this role you will:

  • Provide first line of defence risk management for Securities Finance, FX Prime Services and DCS portfolios
  • Set and calibrate margin levels, control financing provided, and set appropriate client-facing limits
  • Negotiate strong risk terms with clients, including term financing arrangements
  • Develop, calibrate and maintain risk and margining methodologies across products
  • Enhance the model suite and build new analytical tools (including tactical margining solutions)
  • Perform daily credit risk and limit monitoring (e.g., VaR, ES, EPE, PFE), investigate large movements, and produce ad-hoc/periodic reporting and early warning indicators

 

 

You should apply if you have:

  • A Markets background with understanding of market risk for derivatives across asset classes
  • Good understanding of counterparty risk (including hedge funds) and exposure to client default situations
  • Proven experience in quantitative/statistical modelling and extensive data analysis
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (Front Office, Risk, Audit, Model Validation, Model Risk)
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R, plus SQL, and experience with market data (e.g., Bloomberg/Reuters)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, with awareness of regulatory rules and model governance standards
