Job description

What you will do:  

Based within the GNB France team and located at 38 avenue Kléber, 75016 Paris.
The team brings together all French subsidiaries (excluding regional offices) of the Group’s international Corporate clients. Global Network Banking develops dedicated expertise for this international client base (clients and prospects) to drive revenue growth in line with the Group’s international strategy.

 

In this role you will: 

• Converting new client onboarding opportunities in line with Group and HSBC Continental Europe standards, in close collaboration with the IBC (International Banking Centre), for the French subsidiaries of the Group’s international Corporate clients
• Managing, retaining and developing client relationships to grow Net Banking Income (NBI)
• Identifying and escalating client needs requiring support from Transaction Banking, Markets or Global Banking teams• Coordinating client needs in France with the support of the Global Relationship Manager (GRM) responsible for the relationship with the parent company
• Monitoring and managing risks (set-up and renewal of credit facilities, overdrafts, commitments, watchlist, anti-money laundering, etc.)
• Applying HSBC internal control standards, including implementing internal and external checks and addressing any matters raised by external regulators
• Building and maintaining knowledge of operational risk scenarios, KYC requirements and Group procedures relevant to the role
• Coordinating client needs in France with the support of the GRM (based in a CMB country within the Group)

 

You should apply if you have:  

• Commercially minded, dynamic and thoughtful, with a strong focus on business development and client service for Corporate customers, in line with HSBC standards. You can interpret strategy, engage in dialogue with senior management, and persuade and influence stakeholders through a tailored advisory approach
• Well-organised, autonomous and a strong team player, committed to building and developing trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
• Excellent analytical and synthesis skills. Highly rigorous, with strong risk awareness and a solid compliance mindset• Knowledge of banking and financial products and services for Corporate clients (payments, cash management, trade, credit facilities, FX hedging solutions, etc.)
• Ability to manage Global Standards, credit, legal and tax risks associated with this client segment in an international environment
• Previous experience as a Corporate Relationship Manager (or Deputy Relationship Manager) would be an advantage
• English level required: Fluent, both written and spoken
