At HSBC, our purpose is opening up a world of opportunity and by joining our team, you can be part of something bigger! We are committed to removing barriers and ensuring careers at HSBC are inclusive and accessible.

Being part of HSBC in France, you’ll help evolve and grow our business within our Continental Europe Multinationals coverage team. Do you enjoy working in a multicultural, client-facing environment, managing time-sensitive priorities and partnering across teams to make things happen? If yes, we want to hear from you.

What you will do:

You’ll join the Multinationals coverage team based in France, acting as Relationship Manager for a portfolio of Multinational Corporates located in France, while also supporting Associate Directors covering key Global Banking clients (based in France and in HBCE Spain). Your primary responsibility is to ensure the execution of time-sensitive transactions, credit annual reviews, and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) renewals/remediation in a timely manner, while helping deepen client relationships and improve income generation.

In this role you will:

  • Support Associate Directors in covering clients, including preparation of structured and focused credit applications for new money proposals and annual reviews.
  • Deliver KYC and compliance-related activities, partnering with Client Operations for Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and ensuring timely renewals/remediation.
  • Act as a principal internal point of contact with Global Relationship Bankers, the Risk Analysis Unit (for credit review), Client Operations, and product partners.
  • Proactively support relationship deepening and income generation through focused business development activities, alongside Global Relationship Bankers and product partners.
  • Develop relationships with a small number of target/prospective clients that bank with HSBC globally but not with HSBC Continental Europe in France (identify prospects, engage product teams, and help establish the relationship in France).
  • Manage portfolio discipline and controls, including credit risk returns (e.g., limit excess/exception, documentation outstanding, monthly credit control reports), and ensure transaction/pipeline data is accurately reflected in CME.

You should apply if you have:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work closely with coverage bankers and product partners to deliver coordinated client outcomes.
  • Exposure to credit processes (e.g., credit applications, annual reviews, credit memorandums) and the ability to produce structured written recommendations.
  • A strong risk and control mindset, with understanding of compliance requirements and internal control standards (including audit point follow-up).
  • Strong analytical capability to provide high-quality sector/competitor/client analysis to support business development and credit risk assessment.
  • Excellent organization skills to manage time-sensitive deliverables (transactions, reviews, KYC renewals/remediation) and deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Fluency in English (another EU language is welcome but not mandatory).

Even if you feel you do not meet 100% of our qualifications, we encourage you to apply, if you believe this role is right for you.
