What you will do:
- Manage our highest value Institutional clients where professionalism, client focus and a strong understanding of Industry, Regulations and Products are critical to success.
- Operate with a strong leadership and commercial focus ensuring tight alignment to the objectives of the business, whilst enabling the right service delivery with a view to enhance our client’s experience, in a controlled and risk focused environment.
- Regularly meet with clients and discuss their global requirements, managing a diverse range of activities including, but not limited to, the set-up of Financial and Capital Markets products across any of HSBC’s major balance sheets, support with Account onboarding and CDD/KYC requirements across the network, coordinate changes to client signatories and Mandates globally.
- The client group supported by Priority Client Managers will also likely have support from multiple specialist product servicing teams, such is the complexity of the products and services provided by HSBC. Collaboration with peer functions across product teams (Global Payments, Global Trade and Markets & Securities Services) is critical to ensure an harmonious offering is provided to our clients.
- Understanding and adhering to local and global compliance requirements is critical to the success of the role.
- In delivering the business objectives the role holder must operate with integrity and adhere to the Business Principles and Values of HSBC.
You should apply if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or greater
- Must have intermediate/advanced knowledge of Global Markets products, including the legal agreements, credit requirements, and regulations that govern trading in such products
- Must be able to manage a varied workload, prioritize effectively and execute seamlessly under pressure
- Effective leadership will be critical in this role and proven people management skills will be advantageous.
- Able to build excellent working relationships across all Business Units
- Excellent influencing, negotiating and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter, able to identify activities required in order to meet the needs of the Business Unit
- Ability to lead and motivate other managers and staff, employing appropriate management styles often not under direct control (eg. product or functional partners in different geographies)
- High energy characteristics necessary to support the needs of the Business and the Sector aligned operating model
- Developed management skills, with experience in team building and managing a wide range of projects
- Experience in managing operational risks through close monitoring and continuous improvement
