What you’ll do
The successful candidate will work as the second line of defence for market risk across Continental Europe.
In practice, you will:
- Set risk limits aligned with the bank’s strategy and risk appetite.
- Monitor activity with Front Office teams across rates, credit, and equity markets; perform detailed risk analysis and challenge the business on positions.
- Review new products and non-standard transactions to ensure risks are appropriately controlled.
- Identify and analyse significant positions and communicate to senior management to support effective decision-making.
- Define stress test scenarios that could lead to significant losses and calculate impacts.
- Contribute to implementing changes related to regulatory capital topics.
Apply if you match these skills
- Master’s degree (Bac +5) – Engineering school or equivalent university degree, with strong theoretical skills in quantitative finance.
- First significant experience in market risk management.
- Dynamic, autonomous, curious, and proactive.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-changing environment, with proven ability to manage multiple deliverables at once.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
