HBCE Integrity of Regulatory Reporting (IRR) Programme Lead (f/m/d) – Short Term Assignement (9 months)

HSBC : notre mission est de créer un « monde d’opportunités ». Nous encourageons nos collaborateurs à partager leurs compétences et à insuffler un changement positif pour la société, dans un environnement accessible et inclusif.

Being part of HSBC in France, you’ll help evolve and grow our business within HBCE Finance, supporting a strategic uplift of the prudential regulatory reporting control environment across Europe (IRR program, 2024–27). Are you curious and outcomes-focused? Do you have a strong interest in prudential regulatory reporting, controls and data? Do you enjoy working in a global, regional and functional matrix with senior stakeholders?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we want to hear from you!

What you will do:

You will lead the Integrity of Regulatory Reporting (IRR) Programme for HSBC Continental Europe (HBCE), reporting into the HBCE Financial Controller. IRR is a strategic priority (2024–27) to build a robust and sustainable control environment for prudential returns, strengthening resources, data and systems capabilities across first-line reporting/testing and second-line assurance. This is a high-profile programme, subject to a s166 Skilled Person Review by the PRA.

In this role you will:

  • Implement a sustainable regulatory reporting framework, ensuring IRR control standards and design requirements are implemented in line with Regulatory Reporting & Data Policy requirements.
  • Oversee end-to-end design and execution of the IRR plan for HBCE, including budget, resources and prioritisation of key remediation activities.
  • Work closely with, influence and challenge teams including Regulatory Reporting, Wholesale Credit, Financial Control, and partners such as Data Architecture Office and PRA Workstreams.
  • Manage stakeholders within IRR and cross-functionally (including DBS and Risk) to ensure objectives are met and outcomes are robust and sustainable.
  • Partner with Global Businesses to ensure prioritised data issues are identified, agreed, understood and remediated.
  • Chair and present at key governance meetings (e.g., HBCE and HCIB IRR Committees, IRR Management Meetings).
  • Prepare clear and concise briefing papers/materials for governance as required (including HCIB Audit Committee, HBCE Regulatory Reporting Governance Forum, HBCE Finance Transformation & Change Steering Committee, HBCE Finance RCMM).
  • Drive issue management and escalation.
  • Direct target operating model work to embed improvements sustainably into BAU and promote a culture of control awareness and best practice.
  • Manage the team, including service providers, as required.

You should apply if you have:

  • Significant accounting and/or regulatory reporting experience, particularly in a reporting context and across prudential regulatory reporting.
  • Cross-functional knowledge and experience, with an understanding of the Finance operating model at Group, Business and Country levels.
  • Demonstrable track record delivering complex/technical change efficiently and effectively (Finance and/or Risk).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience building relationships across seniority levels and geographies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex information clearly and tailor messages to the audience.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and the ability to shape and drive outcomes strategically.

Even if you feel you do not meet 100% of our qualifications, we encourage you to apply, if you believe this role is right for you.

What you’ll get in return:
