Corporate Risk Solutions (CRS) sits within HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) and partners with CIB Coverage, Investment Banking and Markets to deliver strategic risk management solutions for corporate and private capital clients, particularly around capital markets, acquisition and financing activity.

As our Vice President, Corporate Risk Solutions you will:

  • Originate and execute strategic risk management solutions for corporate and private capital clients, primarily linked to capital markets, acquisition and financing-related events, and interest rate risk
  • Service priority clients at the senior Treasurer and C‑Suite level, developing trusted relationships and delivering high-quality client outcomes
  • Identify and develop opportunities in partnership with internal stakeholders across CIB (including Coverage, Investment Banking, Capital Markets and Markets) to support live and prospective transactions
  • Perform and/or oversee financial analysis to support hedging recommendations, including capital structure/hedge capacity assessment and modelling, stress testing and scenario analysis of market risk factors impacting corporate finance and credit metrics
  • Assess client credit metrics, rating agency considerations and hedge accounting standards as they relate to risk management transactions
  • Support execution by coordinating internal stakeholders and preparing clear, client-ready materials (PowerPoint) that explain transactions in a concise, non-technical way

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Experience originating and executing cross-asset risk management solutions predominantly related to strategic/financing events
  • Strong understanding of hedging solutions and market dynamics; experience with financial sponsors is preferred
  • Strong understanding of common financing structures/products (e.g., acquisition financing) and associated hedging solutions
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) is a plus
  • FINRA Series 63, 79, and 7 licenses required. A contingency period to obtain licensing can be provided at manager’s discretion

Your final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
