Job description

Technical Product Manager, HSBC Technology & Services (USA) Inc., New York, NY:

 

Lead process and data optimization for Cross Asset Financing by acting as (or supporting) a Product Owner in agile teams. Translate business requirements into user stories and functional specifications, manage backlogs and roadmaps, and guide MVP delivery. Gather, clean, and query data (SQL) to support trade capture, reporting, payments, and post trade. Design regulatory/business dashboards and uphold data quality, governance, and production stability. Partner with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and other stakeholders to elicit requirements, map processes and data flows, and communicate complex concepts clearly. Coordinate and execute UAT, secure business sign offs, and oversee releases to production while tracking KPIs/OKRs and mitigating risks.  

 
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Pay Range: $196,950.00 to $206,950.00 per year.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and 7 years of related work experience, of which 5 years are progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience, in financial services technology.


Must have 7 years of experience in:

 

  • Delivering technology solutions or products in financial services or consulting, including process improvement and data optimization.
  • Transaction lifecycle, including trade order management and execution (Front Office), position management and settlements (Middle Office), regulatory and client reporting, and 
    custodian processes including corporate actions, reconciliation, and funding (Back Office).
  • Querying and managing datasets on Oracle, SQL Server, or equivalent platforms.
  • Performing statistical/trend analysis and producing evidencebased findings (queries, models, and reports).

 

Must have experience in 5 years of experience in: 

 

  • Process reengineering, business process management, dataflow analysis, and workflow automation using defined methods/tools. 
  • Authoring requirements documents, user stories, functional specs, and conducting gap analyses for complex data solutions. 
  • Defining features, managing backlogs/roadmaps, and measuring outcomes for data/process products.
  • MS Visio or equivalent (BPMN tools) for process maps and dataflow diagrams.
  • JIRA and Confluence for backlog management, sprint tracking, and documentation.
  • Using Agile/Scrum, DevOps, and Waterfall in delivery environments.
