The CIB Technology team is responsible for the delivery and support of solutions in support of the Corporate Investment and Banking business within HSBC.
The Innovation Bank continues to capitalize on significant opportunity in the US. Several technology enhancements are required to compete and win. Enhancements align to key themes including ease of use, onboarding & servicing, barrier to choosing Innovation Banking, in-demand products & frontline tooling.
As our Specialist Engineering, you will:
• Lead the CIB Tech Innovation Banking workstream and work closely with the transformation and technical leads to run the initiative with light oversight/briefings
• Understand the Innovation Banking technology offering and be a team player to overcome challenges in process, people and implementation
• Attend all program meetings related to the initiative and run regular update and other sessions as necessary
• Escalation of any issues to the Business sponsors and IT head of strategic initiatives, as well as record and monitor risks and issues and look to remove impediments/blockers
• Provide related risk and controls consultancy, advice and guidance to the CIB team and key Business stakeholders
• Advocate the desired behavioural changes across CIB Tech to mature the understanding and management of agile ways of working
• Have good agile literacy and understanding of procedures, and be able to lead related product delivery, platform and solution architecture, and automation
• Monitor project finances (forecasts and actuals) to ensure project remains in tolerance and make any adjustment required in budget planning tools and work with PMO to provide updates on a regular basis
You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
- Experience in Banking platforms and technologies
- Experience in leading a team across geography and disciplines
- Experience in technical program delivery including budgeting and variance monitoring
- Skilled in recognition and recording of risks and issues on a program and recommending mitigation approaches for each
- Experience in working with senior leadership e.g. CIOs of the organization
- Experience and confidence in chairing regular project update & information sharing sessions with a wide and varied audience from junior staff to senior managers
- An understanding of Agile methodology and ways of working

Your final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
