Working on the US Private Banking Chief Operating Officer (COO) Team, the Business Transformation Manager will be responsible for driving key strategic initiatives focused on simplification, client segmentation, and product expansion. Members of the COO team are on the leading edge of major bank initiatives locally, regionally, and globally and will routinely interact with senior business partners across the organization. 

 

This position has an impactful role that requires strong problem-solving skills, accountability, and attention to detail.  This role provides an opportunity to take ownership in the delivery of US Private Bank results and be a key stakeholder in driving actionable recommendations.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead execution of strategic business initiatives.
    • Identifies key issues / opportunities and use HSBC and external sources to provide actionable recommendations.
    • Manage key stakeholders.
    • Project manage initiatives and track progress against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead the annual Technology Investment cycle for US Private Bank, including business case analyses with applicable revenue projections and cost savings.
  • Communicate (both written and oral) the recommendations / insights with colleagues in the form of PowerPoint presentations, Word memos, and Excel documents.
  • Ad Hoc requests on behalf of the COO and Private Bank Management team.

 

This position requires an individual with:

  • Good knowledge of private banking and affluent market trends.
  • Capacity to rapidly identify key opportunities, issues and themes which have material impact with the ability to establish clear action plans.
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships with internal and external partners at all levels. Must be a strong collaborator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage large complex business initiatives and transformation projects in an agile manner.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and objectives independently and within the team.
  • Highly developed analytical skills and ability to draw insights from a complex set of data sources.
  • Ability to work independently and within a small team with a flat structure to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Proven banking experience preferred.
  • FINRA license series 7 and 66 are preferred but not required.

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
