We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join the Global Trade Solutions (GTS) team in the role of Sales Manager based in NY. Reporting to the US Sector Head of Sales for Consumer Goods, Retail and Apparel, the role is responsible for supporting senior Sales Managers and collaborating with Coverage bankers on new originations as well as a portfolio of clients in this sector. Key responsibilities include delivering new business through the structured and traditional trade suite of solutions. The individual will play a pivotal role in supporting the team identify new opportunities, grow our existing business, and ensure a high-quality customer experience. Primary measures of success include meeting revenue growth targets within the established cost and capital return targets.
As our Sales Management, Global Trade Solutions, you will:
- Manage a pipeline of new deals and follow the end-to-end sales process
- Drive Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and support the team win mandates
- Support the Consumer and Retail (C&R) team to manage a pipeline of new customers / new deals and follow the end-to-end sales process
- Support the C&R team to deliver customer base growth, achieve growth targets, and maximize the financial contribution of the GTS business, deploying the Bank's capital effectively and efficiently in partnership with the CIB relationship bankers
- Support the C&R team structure customer-centric deals across the whole range of Trade solutions as Supply Chain Finance, Receivables Finance, Inventory Ownership, Sustainable Finance and others including traditional trade solutions such as Guarantees, Letters of Credit and Trade Loans
- Prepare client materials for Trade solutions pitches, ensuring the material meets operational and regulatory requirements in each geography as appropriate
- Run pricing returns scenarios to provide indicative term sheets to clients’ requests
- Provide detailed financial benefit analysis and supporting information for each customer request for information, as well as analysis of competitors’ market position, and relevant sector insights
- Develop key relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate with Sales Managers across other markets for global GTS opportunities to help drive the growth of the trade business with the sector globally
You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Proven banking background, with strong exposure to Trade Finance and Working Capital solutions, including Supply Chain Finance, Receivables Finance, Inventory Finance, Sustainable Finance, and traditional trade products
- Strong client-facing capability with demonstrated experience in sales, relationship management, and origination, including identifying opportunities, structuring solutions, and driving deal execution
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to execute tasks within short timelines and under pressure
- Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team (experience in large global teams in multiple time zones is a plus)
- Strong communication skills, including written and verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling propositions
- Bachelor’s (Master’s a plus) degree in Finance, accounting, mathematics, or related fields

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
