In this role, you  will hold the following key accountabilities:

 

  • Ensure non-financial risk oversight on operational performance and change transformation programs underway in the region are in line with globally defined metrics and operating frameworks
  • Define and drive a robust control environment to minimize ops incidents/risks
  • Work closely with COO teams and Ops Leads onshore/offshore to report/investigate/resolve ops incidents
  • Support second- and third-line reviews including pre/post engagements and ensure all audit findings are implemented within agreed timeframes
  • Work in combination with other functions to achieve end-to-end client fulfilment, and support delivery of automation and “straight through processing” programmes
  • Lead the learning and development journey for the region. Support new to trade staff and new projects by maximising the coverage of the training available to accelerate the time to first transaction
  • Focus on development of the training infrastructure to support upskilling of colleagues and enabling the successful management of complex processes transitioning to the COEs
  • Lead continuous process improvements through identified change agents

Knowledge & Experience

  • Preferable knowledge and understanding of the GTS business and key risks arising in this business, such as Financial Crime, Regulatory and Operational risks, among others
  • Excellent knowledge of trade products, operating procedures/FIM, ICC guidelines and control frameworks
  • Experience in a fast pace and agile environment and in driving strategic outcomes
  • Ability to influence and facilitate strong collaboration across business areas

 

Qualifications and Accreditations

 

  • Degree (e.g. Bachelors, master’s etc.) in a related field and commensurate practical experience
  • Demonstrable domain knowledge of trade product/processes
  • Controls experience (e.g., performing a governance role in trade operations)
  • Change Management (e.g., automation, process improvements/re-engineering)
  • Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders (all levels of seniority)
