As the Futures Execution Product/e-Risk Lead in New York, you will lead a global team, and oversee all aspects of the execution product suite, including portal strategy, algo trading, risk management, global market access, and post-trade services. You will partner with Sales and Senior stakeholders to set and execute our strategic vision and lead cross-functional teams to deliver product solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and execute the strategic vision for the Futures Execution product, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Partner with all stakeholders to define and prioritize opportunities and innovative solutions
- Oversee the development of comprehensive business requirements and maintain accurate documentation of processes and procedures
- Lead cross-functional teams—including Technology, Operations, Compliance, and regulatory/control partners—to deliver end-to-end product solutions
- Drive platform strategy and post-trade service improvements
- Serve as First Line of Defense and governance framework representative within the HSBC Futures electronic trading business for production issues, managing incidents and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability and minimal downtime.
- Manage user trading permissions based on products, limits and functionality
- Ensure all HSBC pre-trade risk activities and control requirements comply with internal policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure regional teams actively monitor electronic trading platforms and connectivity in real-time, including start-of-day and end-of-day checks.
- Act as an execution consultant to internal trading desks and external clients, providing guidance on platform functionality, and use of algorithmic strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge and background in electronic trading systems, messaging protocols (e.g., FIX), and connectivity/networking fundamentals.
- Execution and OMS application knowledge of FIX 4.2+, TT, Bloomberg Tradebook, Bloomberg EMSX, UL (Link, Trader, Middle, Odisys and Iris) Interactive Brokers, CME, Eurex, ICE, SFE, Montreal applications
- Extensive understanding of global Futures & Options market structure, including major exchanges, regulatory frameworks (MiFID II, CFTC), and clearing processes
- Strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex challenges creatively and efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels and disciplines
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and lead global product initiatives in Futures & Options
- Experience with platform strategy and product development in electronic trading environments
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience)

Your final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
