You’ll manage our US equity portfolios for Private Bank clients, delivering strong risk-adjusted performance within a fiduciary framework. You’ll combine deep US equity research capability with disciplined portfolio construction, and communicate positioning clearly to internal stakeholders and clients.

As our Equity Portfolio Manager, US Equities - HSBC Private Bank you will:

  • Own portfolio construction, position sizing, rebalancing and cash-flow management to deliver consistent outcomes within agreed risk limits
  • Monitor portfolio risk (e.g., factor/sector/style, concentration, drawdown) and ensure prudent management for Trust accounts in line with OCC Regulation 9 and internal governance
  • Generate high-conviction ideas using fundamental research and analytics; adhere to the team’s investment philosophy and contribute to continuous improvement in process and best practice
  • Articulate portfolio decisions, performance drivers and market outlook to peers, product partners and clients; support internal/external events as needed
  • Partner with product and marketing to build a multi-year plan and a compelling narrative for the strategy
  • Work effectively across Operations, Legal, Compliance and Risk; ensure trading and documentation meet policy and regulatory expectations, escalating issues promptly

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role: 

  • Proven US equity portfolio management experience
  • Strong relative value mindset; 
  • Ability to balance research depth with real-world implementation; 
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Nice-to-have: CFA and/or Master’s.
