Responsible for leveraging knowledge and experience in the US Equity Derivatives and Quantitative Investment Strategies landscape to identify and evaluate commercial opportunities for the HSBC equity derivatives business. Work with the salesforce to design an innovative product roadmap, as well as the actual products, to meet new or future client demand. Help design compelling marketing campaigns around these products to maximize engagement with HSBC’s client base. Oversee the full spectrum of product launch, including onboarding into HSBC’s systems, to ensure risks generated by these products are well controlled by HSBC. Liaise with the relevant trading teams to incorporate feedback, leverage HSBC’s strengths, and plan out necessary future capabilities. Collaborate with internal tech teams to streamline the trade volumes resulting from the equity derivatives and QIS businesses.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Pay Range: $250,000.00 to $260,000.00 per year.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Must have a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering, Financial Mathematics, Finance, Operations Research, Financial Statistics or a related field and 5 years of related work experience.

 

Must have 5 years of experience in:

 

  • Quantitative Market Finance, modeling complex market dynamics, working with Monte Carlo processes, building and using optimization tools; and
  • Object-oriented programming language, building data tools, cloud management tools, job schedulers, systematic reports.

 

Must have 4 years of experience in:

 

  • Equity Derivatives Pricing and Risk, using state-of-the-art pricing and risk models for exotic equity derivatives, trading risks associated with the products, and risk recycling activities;
  • QIS Product Design and Development, researching and building Quantitative Investment strategies both in the Equity Derivatives space as well as across asset classes; and
  • Interacting directly with External Clients, presenting to and interacting with both Institutional and Insurance clients in the US.
